This week we’re highlighting our good friend Frank and Ernest Markets, a partner of ours since our inception. F&E has hosted the best-of-the-best farmer's markets and pop up food parties in the Twin Cities for years. The focus of Frank and Ernest markets is always on creating services and technologies to empower local food sheds. We have been so lucky to partner at many of our past markets to offer food alongside crafts, including some of the most notable - Linden Hills Farmers Markets, Linden Hills Holiday Markets, and Plate and Parcel Holiday Markets.

Who is Frank And Ernest?

An Innovative 2020 Pivot

With COVID-19 abruptly preventing in-person markets from being able to happen in 2020, Libby recognized the need to continue facilitating an accessible market for local foods. She quickly designed and launched Frank & Ernest Marketplace’s online platform, making it possible for local farmers and food producers to continue selling to the community in a modified way.

The new online F&E Marketplace features hundreds of local food makers and farmers. Vendors list their own inventory and product selections, a lot like an Etsy or Poshmark model in a one-of-a-kind, local way! Customers place their orders online between Monday and Thursday, and then pick up their order either in Northeast Minneapolis on Saturdays at FOOD BUILDING, or on Sundays in Linden Hills in the Settergren’s Hardware Parking Lot. Libby has designed the food pickup process in an incredible efficient and safe way, setting up a drive-through system where orders can just be handed to customers inside their cars. Giving the community a way to buy directly from makers and farmers is at the heart of Frank and Ernest.

Next time you need groceries, support local and place an order through Frank and Ernest’s online marketplace!
