VISION

Minneapolis Craft Market is a community social hub, and an incubator for the arts. We believe the Twin Cities has a unique culture of creativity, and our goal is to provide a regular venue for both emerging and established makers to sell their work. Our market is based on the London street market concept, which is held rain or shine (or snow!). We know Northerners are hardy, so grab a drink, wear your best hand-knitted scarf or sun hat, and join us for a festive outdoor market!

Who runs the market?

Hayley Matthews-Jones is from London, where market squares are a way of life. Her local market in Greenwich is a World Heritage site, hosting some of London’s most creative designers and makers every weekend.

Hayley received her Foundation in Art & Design from Central Saint Martins, and her BA in Silversmithing & Metalwork from Camberwell College of Arts (both colleges of University of the Arts London). While pursuing her degree, she coordinated fundraisers and art exhibitions, and her career as an event planner was born. She moved to Minneapolis in 2008, and in 2015 established Minneapolis Craft Market, and her event planning company, Vanishing Point Events.

THE SCHOLARSHIP STALL

We support emerging makers and believe all artists should have the opportunity to participate in the market, regardless of their ability to pay for a stall.

We provide Scholarship Stalls for students currently enrolled in art & design education courses, or artists without the means to pay. If your application is approved, you will be entitled to register for a complimentary stall at one (1) upcoming market.
