Fast Approaching: The Loring Park Art Festival!
We are so excited to be partnering with Lakes & Legends for the upcoming Loring Park Art Festival on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1!
Located in the Lakes & Legends Beer Garden, Minneapolis Craft Market will be bringing 20 emerging artists to present pop-up booths in addition to the festival’s 140 juried artists. Alongside our craft vendors, the Beer Garden will offer a great line-up of beverages, including the specially brewed Tootsie Park, a raspberry chocolate ale. It’s always a joy to partner with Lakes & Legends, whether an indoor market in their taproom or outside at Loring Park.
“We are thrilled to partner again with Lakes & Legends and excited to welcome the Minneapolis Craft Market pop-up into the beer garden,” said festival Founder Pat Parnow. “The Loring Park Art Festival is known for featuring an impressive line-up of juried artists with a rich variety of styles and art forms at a wide range of prices. This year, the festival’s beer garden will feature about 20 emerging artists through the Minneapolis Craft Market, giving festival goers the opportunity to experience new talent, along with our 140 juried artists.”
The Minneapolis Craft Market will feature painting, woodwork, printmaking, apparel and more. “Our makers are so excited that we’re partnering with such a well established and highly regarded art fair,” said the market’s Founder Hayley Matthews-Jones. “The opportunity to reach the audience that the Loring Park Art Festival attracts is especially meaningful following a year where many of our artists lost their main source of income due to cancelled events and fairs. Returning as part of such a great event feels wonderful.”
The Lakes & Legends Beer Garden, a partner with the Loring Park Art Festival since 2017, will feature taproom favorites, a gluten free sour cherry hard seltzer, Northern Soda Company sodas and Deane’s Kombucha, in addition to the new Tootsie Park chocolate raspberry ale. The beer garden will have seating, snacks and free games, as well as a Paint your Pet class on Sunday, Aug. 1, from 10 am-12:30 pm. Classes include one free drink ticket. Sign up in advance through eventbrite at https://grayduckart.com/class.
“We’ve greatly enjoyed bringing our taproom experience to Loring Park over the years through the Loring Park Art Festival,” said Lakes & Legends President and Co-founder, Derrick Taylor. “This year will be bigger and better than ever with a handful of new elements. The beer garden is open to everyone, whether you’re grabbing a beer or not. Come hang out with us!”
