Happy New Year from all of us at the Minneapolis Craft Market! 2019 was a wonderful year with so much support and growth for our market and local makers. We held 50+ events with hundreds of unique vendors. From jewelry to ceramics, apothecary goods to custom printed linens, we showcased an endless variety of local Minneapolis artisans. Not only did we show up, we showed out! In rain or snow, in sunshine or inclement weather our makers kept chugging along. Thank you for making 2019 incredibly fruitful and exciting year.

After the rush of the holiday season, we often find ourselves reflecting on the past but also casting our gaze forward into the new year. 2020 promises to be a banner year as well, and we can’t wait to see what’s ahead. We’re getting in to one of the slowest times of the year, a perfect time to focus on even bigger and better things for the future of the craft and small local business community.

Supporting the community is easy. Share on social- if you’re a maker, go through all the photos you’ve collected of achievements and events over the past year and throw them up on your social channels. Share things you’re proud of, learnings, in progress work, whatever you’d like- even sharing other maker’s posts to your social channels will improve engagement. If you’re wanting to support the makers, sharing creator’s content is an excellent way to encourage interaction and bolster followings. Purchase locally and small if possible- smaller holidays, housewarming gifts, birthday gifts- anything helps!
